Coco Models Explains Why Peter Lindbergh Returned To Vogue

Peter Lindbergh, fashion photographer, has decided to make a move back to Vogue after Anna Wintour and Grace Coddington spoke to him. After the two had asked him back he said “It was like you are the black sheep in the family, and your older brother asks you to come home.” He left Vogue in 1992 and has not had his pictures published in the magazine. Since then he has been shooting for Harper's Bazaar. The 18 year hiatus was caused by Alexander Lieberman and Grace Mirabella at Vogue. Both of them did not like his photography style specifically stating about his pictures of models on the beach, “They told me we can’t handle the women you’re photographing."
Lindbergh has said that, “fashion photography is going in the wrong direction, with the overdone hair and make-up”. He believes that young is overdone and would like to bring the more natural, less retouched models back to the pages of Vogue. Bringing back a little life to fashion photography might not be such a bad idea.

Coco Models Takes A Look At The New Generation Of Supermodels ...

Australian born fashion model Catherine McNeil was discovered at the age of 14 after winning a competition hosted by Australian Teen mag “Girlfriend”. When featured on the cover of the September 2007 edition of French Vogue, she was labelled one of “British Vogue's Head Girls and a model to watch for in the upcoming season”. Since then she’s been featured in ads for Louis Vuitton and has walked the runway for Bottega Veneta and Missoni.
Hailed “the fashion industry’s next great supermodel”, English model Agyness Deyn’s edgy platinum blonde look sets her apart from the rest. She has appeared in ads for Burberry, Giorgio Armani and Shiseido. In addition to her long list of runway credits, she is also an actress and singer.
In 2005 Victoria’s Secret Angel Doutzen Kroes was named model of the year on vogue.com. The Dutch model also ranks 5th in Forbes May issue on the list of the Worlds 15 top earning supermodels. Appearing in campaigns for Escada and Dolce and Gabbana to name a few, Kroes is well on her way to the top.
Toronto’s own Coco Rocha is a rising star. Since being discovered in 2002, she has been the face of major industry campaigns for Chanel, Balenciaga and Yves St. Laurent. Along with gracing the covers of numerous magazine covers she has walked the runway for Diane von Furstenberg, Zac Posen and John Galliano.
Since her debut runway walk in 2006, Chanel Iman has been featured in editorial spreads for 6 different editions of Vogue around the world. Of South Korean and African- American parentage she was born in Atlanta, Georgia. In the future she has aspirations to design her own clothing line. She also models with Victoria’s Secret for their “Nakeds” line.
Another one of our own, Canadian model Jessica Stam, appeared in the May 2007 publication of Vogue featuring the “new crop” of supermodels. Like many of our other new comers she has done work for Victoria’s Secret. In the spring of 2006 she walked 64 shows for Fashion Week in New York, Milan and Paris. In March of this year she helped launch the first edition of Vogue Turkey as the cover girl.

Coco Models Goes Looking For The Runaways

Last month marked the New York premiere of Floria Sigismondi's The Runaways which cast actresses Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning in the roles of real life Runaways Joan Jett and Cherie Currie. Joan Jett is the executive producer of this project which is about the life of their all girls punk band. The film takes place in 1975 when The Runaways were the only female punk band on the L.A scene. The group broke up soon after their first hit Cherry Bomb.
Both Kristen Stewart, as Joan Jett and Dakota Fanning, as lead singer Cherie Currie, sing in the biopic. They have their own version of the song Cherry Bomb which is climbing the charts. This is also the most adult role that Dakota Fanning has ever played. In the film she can be seen snorting drugs, making out with Kristen Stewart and dancing around in bikini bottoms and leather pants. Both her movie roles and fashion sense are growing up. She wore a hand-embroidered blush Elie Saab dress with Brian Atwood heels to the premiere which was perfectly paired with Kristen Stewart's Emilio Pucci sequined mini dress.
The film was given a limited release on March 19th and was released to theatres everywhere on April 9th.
